Orah Ishaya - Integrative Body Therapist
Orah (Walter Geursen) has clinical practice experience for over 35 years and has a special interest and focus in the spine, neck and head.
He came across a new paradigm of healing called Atlas Balancing. The decision to become a Certified Atlas Balancer is the culmination of years of looking for a wellness technology that combined and delivered on the promise of ”wellness at all levels”. It affects at the physical, the mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual planes, all during a one hour session.
The search for this complete package began more than thirty years ago when there was a change in vocation from teaching to physiotherapy. There was one question that was not answered during his physiotherapy career and that was, “Why does the pelvis/sacrum not stay stable and why does treatment at the sacrum unbalance and alter the function of the neck, head and jaw and vice versa”? In Atlas Balancing, he found those answers!
Physiotherapy is founded on the principles that health and wellness are built on the mental, emotional, energetic, spiritual and… physical wellness fronts; all in balance. Earlier on, Orah soon realised that the key to wellness was in finding that component that was out of balance. At various times during his clinical practise, he found that his passion for helping others in more effective ways brought forward various other healing methodologies that deepened his understanding of those founding principles for himself, for his clients and his work.
Some of the many other skills Orah learned to help the physical and the mental & emotional components were boosted in the form of stress management coaching using HeartMath™ and initial training in psychotherapy. He also trained and applied energetic work such as Bowen, NIS, Bioresonance Therapy and Cranial Sacral. Orah now integrates all these skills as an Integrative Body Therapist with a special focus and interest in the high neck. He also works as part of a concussion team doing
ACC work for those suffering from brain injuries.
With time, his interest in the spiritual became stronger and resulted in a two-year break from clinical practice to become a teacher of meditation and he went on to teach meditation in Mexico, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. That passion for self-knowledge and to assist the growth of awareness in others has became a big part of his life.
In 2004, he was introduced to the Oneness Movement; a non-denominational spiritual organization offering a solution for many of mankind’s problems; at a personal, family, community and global level. This inspired him to become a Oneness Blessing Giver offering the Oneness Blessing. His time as a lay monk teaching Ishayas' Ascension meditation and becoming a Oneness Trainer, further deepened his connection with the greater healing that takes place in us all. This has allowed Orah to offer his services more as a wholistic or lifestyle wellness practitioner, now being able to extend further assistance when required.
